Robotics and Automation Competency Unit (RACU) is a research and development competency unit  set-up in Temasek Engineering School at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. The group was established in 1999 and now occupies two laboratories equipped with the latest robotic research platforms including legged robots, mobile robots, miniature robots and several serial robots.

The group was established to conduct applied research in robotics technologies relevant to industrial needs. Specializing in research and development of advanced concepts in mobile and autonomous robotics including hardware and software.
