TPOTS – Temasek Polytechnic sOccer TeamS

This new generation TPOTS were designed and built with faster computing DSP based CPU board, high speed motion controller, precision omni-directional drive system, higher resolution vision system, and in cooperated with optimal control algorithm, with moving speed approximately 2m/sec.

The 4 wheel driven omni-directional drive system allows the TPOTS robot to achieve fast manoeuvre in all direction.

The global vision system consists of a 3xCCD SONY camera with Canon’s Wide-Angle lenses and a high-speed vision card.

The kicker & dribbler assembly allows the ball to be kicked at a speed of approximately 6m/s .

Current works are on improving the vision system and to reduce noise in the RF module.
